I always see mini pastel colored yo-yos and paddle ball sets. Last year I saw mini glitter- ink pens. There is always a good supply of mini bunnies at the craft stores- or better yet- Bitty Bunny! I have seen mini chocolate bunnies in a 3 pack. I am sure you will be able to put together a good little basket full.

I think once you go out and look around with the "doll basket" mindset, you will surprised what you can come up with! DD has done this type of thing for years now. The girls have stockings for Christmas too. It is quite an ordeal now that DD has been adding to her collection like crazy the last few years, but we do use the items year to year, so it isn't too bad.
Yesterday I was at Walmart and they had the cutest little stuffed animals with bunny ears. There was a duck, pig, lamb, and puppy. They carry tiny plastic carrot shaped bags with a few jellybeans in them. I think they were like $1.96 each. Several companies do this type little animals, Russ comes to mind, but they are like $6 for just the stuffed animal. These are just as cute for sure. I also was able to find a little fabric butterfly basket, and a fabric basketball basket that will work great for Jess and "Maribel"...who is a tomboy and LOVES basketball. Last year Target had really cute little animal baskets doll sized. They were in the $1 area, I don't know if they have this this year or not. It is actually pretty fun looking for little items for the baskets, and it doesn't have to cost much. Have fun with it!

A mini paint set like the one in Molly's Stocking--I've seen them in the small party favors section.
A mini Etch a Sketch--Target had them last year in a bundle pack with an egg shaped one.
A toy spinning top
Look at the cute keyrings section--they have mini versions of Popular Board games like Monopoly.
A mini jumprope like the one in Molly's Party Games.

If you have dollar stores in your area i've found some great stuff there for the dolls. I found a little gift set with a necklace, hair accessories and rings. The rings actually fit the dolls as bracelets since they're on elastic. Target's dollar section has some good finds too.

So, dd found in my stash of craft things a small Easter basket. She has asked if Kit can put it out in April. I said yes, figuring she would forget about it. NOw I'm not so sure. She's been commenting, "I wonder what Kit will get in HER basket?". Hmmmm , just what do you put in an itty bitty basket? I need "outside the box" cheap ideas since AG can get a little pricey. All I have come up w/ so far is a mini bible (found one on Ebay for $3.25 total, bin & shipped! ). I did think about getting Molly's skates, but would have to measure & see if the basket is big enough.
I know some of you must have made baskets in the past for your dolls, so I will be curious to see what you come up with.
TIA,
Bren

There are some really cute chocolate eggs they sell every year right around easter, Cadberry (sp?)I think, that come in a dark purple bag, that are prefect AG size. I use them every year! They come in pink, white, blue, and yellow all mixed in one bag.
Very worth getting because they are also yummy!
